SmashBurger Newcastle
Smash Burger finally opened its doors in Newcastle's Eldon Square a couple of weeks ago, i'd been waiting a couple of months for it to open and we finally went in for dinner on Monday.
I'm not going to write a big review or even a big block of text about what the food was like, because IT WAS AMAZING.
Honestly, it's my new favourite burger joint.
Every other place i've tried - Ed's Diner, Five Guys, Shake Shack, they're all nice but they just don't have the full package. They have one thing thats amazing and the rest is just standard, but Smash Burger has everything perfectly done.
They even have Smash Fries!
These are tossed in Italian olive oil, rosemary and garlic and are so so nice!
But you get way too many of these for one person because the flavour/oil gets a little too much after a while.
The original french fries are absolutely amazing though, they remind me of the old style Burger King fries and I loved those so much! The only downside is they don't seem to have vinegar available in the condiments section.
We only ate here a few hours ago and i'm already asking my fiancé when we can go back.
