We're Going Back To WDW!

Image
Back on the 21st of April, Walt Disney World released their new offers for 2017, and Thomson released their 2017 summer flights, and as I already have the time booked off work, and we were still trying to figure out if we were going to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong next year, we ended up booking Walt Disney World for September 2017 instead! We've not been since 2014 and we're so excited to go back! I'm blaming the Disney Bloggers of Twitter for us booking though! We'll be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort, and we're looking at spending a night at the Hard Rock Hotel like we did last time to make the most of our time at Universal. We've also upgraded to Premium Economy for our flights like we did last time. Thomson Economy just doesn't seem good enough when you're trapped on that plane for so long, and even then, Premium Economy still isn't as much as you get when flying long haul with KLM/Air France/British Airways. New Tsum Tsum!

Image
It's been quite a while since I last posted a Tsum Tsum Collection update - I still love them, i'm just not buying as many right now. I've put myself back on a spending ban ready for my upcoming trips: June 2016 - Disneyland Paris September 2016 - Japan August 2017 - Disneyland Paris And since I can buy Tsum Tsum in all of the places I'm currently booked up for i've decided just to buy the ones I really want, and only if I really want a few of them - theres no Disney Store in Newcastle and i'm never in Sunderland so it has to be worth the £4 delivery charge! I picked this one up in Clinton Cards back in early April, I already have Judy Hopps from the Disney Store release but I just couldn't resist this version with her little hat! The Jungle Book Collection! Mowgli Bagheera Baloo Junior King Louie Shere Khan Kaa Raksha I also picked up the Stitch Tsum reusable shopper

Japan Planning Update

Image
Just a quick little planning update! We've not really done much for our up coming trip yet. Which is starting to make me panic a little if i'm honest! Theres only 134 days to go! So far we've finally - -  Booked our pocket wifi - we went with Global Advances Communications again. - Booked our hotel at Disney - Donald Duck room at Disney's Ambassador Hotel! - Booked our hotel near Nippori Station, but if Hotel Sunny becomes available we'll be cancelling and booking there again instead. It's ideal as it's next door to the station. - Started our timetable, but its nowhere near finished. - Looked at the Skyliner/N'EX timetables and wrote down the three nearest trains to our arrival for both companies. That gives us a bit of leeway if immigration is busy/takes a while (was even quicker than Paris on our last trip!) or if our flight is delayed again. We're thinking about getting the rail pass again but we just don't kn

Shin Chan DIY Drink

Image
A few months ago I picked up the Crayon Shin-Chan DIY Kid's Beer Drink from eBay after seeing a couple of people on YouTube try it. It's an interesting little drink, especially for kids, and definitely worth picking up - you'll see why if you watch the video below! :) The drink itself didn't really taste very nice - a bit like RC Cola if i'm honest. But it could be nicer if you chill it or put in some ice cubes like instructed on the packaging (I didn't have any ready!) Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

The Jungle Book Film Review

Image
The Jungle Book We’ve all seen the story of the Jungle Book from when we were young(er) and this live-action remake is a really good interpretation of the original books and the original movie, it also implements a few different ideas into the story which means that although you know how the story goes, you don’t know exactly how it’s going to get there. The whole movie is based around Shere Kahn’s attempt to kill Mowgli, a ‘man-cub’ who has been taken in by a pack of wolves. Kahn is more villainous than in the animated movie, it being revealed that he killed Mowgli’s father, who in defending himself blinded Shere Kahn in one eye. Mowgli is chastised by the black panther Bagheera for using his tricks to make his life easier and compensate for his shortcomings as a wolf.  Of course, Mowgli meets Kaa, Baloo and King Louie along the way and befriends a herd of elephants which become a valuable ally at the end of the movie. The whole movie looks amazing, it’s re

TokyoTreat Box April

Image
You may have already seen my post from last month all about TokyoTreat and their March subscription box , but my April box has finally arrived so i've decided to share the video with you all this time round (names of the products appear in the video!). This will probably be my last TokyoTreat post - at least for a while as i've sadly cancelled my subscription (and therefore lost my discount offer from their birthday promo!) as I want to put more money towards my holidays and our house and future. Sakura Pepsi - I had three bottles of this (one from TokyoTreat and two from J-List) and my fiancé likes it, but i'm still not too sure about it. It tastes nice and sort of like cherry when you drink it, but then you get hit by this strong floral, perfumey aftertaste which I can only describe similarly as 'walking through Lush with your mouth wide open' (if your stores have their bath bombs out as is - in Japan they seal them all separately, they're n

Stained-Glass Window Biscuits

Image
Standard biscuit recipe (200g self raising flour, 100g caster sugar, 100g margarine/butter and 1 egg) and some hard boiled sweets. Step 0 - Preheat oven to 180ºC, grease baking trays or use greaseproof paper (preferred option!). Break up your boiled sweets. Step 1 - Cream together the margarine and sugar. Step 2 - Add the egg and mix. Step 3 - Roll out your dough onto a floured surface. Step 4 - Cut out your large shapes, then cut out a shape in the centre of each biscuit before putting them onto your baking tray. Step 5 - Fill the space in the middle of your biscuits with your broken up pieces of boiled sweets. Step 6 - Bake for 8-10min. Step 7 - Enjoy! Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

Nanoblock: Tokyo Disney Resort: Summer Festival Mickey Mouse (2015)

Image
We're getting quite far with the Nanoblock Disney sets that we picked up in Japan in August now, I don't think we have too many left to complete before we head back in September. This time, we built the Summer Festival Mickey Mouse (2015) nanoblock kit, it was a really fiddly one. Pieces kept falling off, and again the head wouldn't sit on in the end so I just took a couple of pieces out and it worked straight away! I'm hoping they weren't important pieces and its not going to fall apart! Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

Japan Savings Tin

Image
Just like the New York and Disney Savings Tin's i've shared here in the past, I've just made a tin for our upcoming trip to Japan! It's pretty easy to do, first find a tin and measure it. Then put your measurements into Photoshop. Find a nice photo. (photo source) Add text to it. Print & Trim. Glue onto your tin. And here is your finished product!
