Nanoblock: Tokyo Disney Resort: Mickey Mouse Yukata

Image
Back in August when we visited Japan we picked up a few (10!) Nanoblock kits from Tokyo Disney Resort, but we've still not managed to even start a single kit! So, since the weather is still horrible, and we're in need of our next Disney fix, we thought, what better time to finally get started on working our way through these building sets. We decided to start with the easy ones, so heres the first instalment of our Nanoblock project. This wasn't too difficult, the worst part was connecting the head at the end! The blocks just wouldn't line up properly. Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

Holiday Planning for 2017!

Image
To get the most out of my money and holiday allowance from work I thought it was about time I start thinking about where I want to go next year and I really can't think of where I want my main holiday to be! I really want to head back to Disneyland Paris for their 25th Anniversary - I went for the 15th and 20th, ideally this would be in July/August. I also want to try to squeeze in a trip back to Florida for Disney World and maybe a day or two at Universal and Discovery Cove (non-swim). China was the main plan for this year before we cancelled it so we could go back to looking at this one. Or theres always interrailing around Europe. Help me think of where I want to go! Any suggestions? Where have you been and why did you love it? Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

January: Funko POP! Collection Additions

Image
I said back in the last collection update that I'm cutting down on my collection, and well, I am, but I just had to have the GIR collection. I've been after the original GIR for ages, so when the set of four came up for £55, we just had to have them. Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

Exploding Kittens

Image
At the weekend my fiancé told me to download this new iPhone app game called Exploding Kittens , it's the app version of the original card game. At first the name put me off, and the fact that you have to be near the person you're playing with or you can't play - but they're working on online play so it won't be too long until you can play whenever with whoever. He beat me on my first two games, and I won the next seven or so in a row! It's a pretty easy game, and the app version makes it a little easier than the actual card game - you don't really need to flip your cards or shuffle the deck when you use the shuffle or cat butt cards, the app pretty much does everything for you. If you get this game, you have to play it with the sound on at least once! The aim of the game is not to be killed by the exploding kitten card - you each start with 1 defuse card and there is a third card hidden in the deck, you need the defuse card if you want to

Monthly Meow

In an attempt to stop Tim's over grooming habits I got her this festive Christmas jumper. She seems happy wearing it but as its for a dog its not quite the right shape so i've not put it back on her since. I knew the Amazon listing calling it a Cat & Dog jumper was too good to be true. New Tsum Tsum: Guardians of the Galaxy

Image
As I mentioned back in the new Tsum Tsum post earlier this month, the Guardians of the Galaxy set was releasing on the 19th of January rather than on the main Tsum Tsum Tsuesday for January or February. Here they are.. Rocket Groot Star Lord Gamora Drax I also picked up: Jafar Sultan Iago Thumper Bambi Marie And another set of plates! But don't tell my fiancé, I have to sneak new dinnerware into the house! I was also surprised when I opened the box to find two FREE! Medium tsum tsums - any one who ordered the Guardians set as a bundle rather than individually received these. Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

A Day In Durham

Image
Hello everyone! I just had the entire weekend off work and as I got it off on short notice I didn't get a chance to book up for London (the price doubled in the space of about three hours!) so we just spent Saturday shopping in Newcastle and took a trip over to Durham to have a little wander around and take some photographs. We didn't stay in Durham too long as we didn't get there until lateish as the trains were off and we had to take the replacement bus from the train station. I just want to share a few photographs with you that we took on our wander around Durham City Centre so you can see just how beautiful this little city is. Mickey Mouse Cupcakes

Image
Keeping up with my New Year's goals I've done a little bit more baking! I'm still cheating when it comes to cakes and using packet mix though! So all you need is: Cake mix 1 Medium Egg 75ml of Water 12 Cupcake Cases Cadbury Giant Buttons Dr Oetker Easy Swirl Chocolate Icing Mix up your cake batter and then spoon the mixture into your cupcake cases. Bake as instructed on your packet mix or in your recipe. Allow to cool before using your easy swirl icing to decorate the cupcakes. Then add two giant buttons to each cake to make your Mickey/Minnie Mouse cupcakes! These cupcake cases from Tesco would be ideal for Minnie Mouse cupcakes, but I didn't have anything to use as her bow. Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

New Disney Purchases

Image
On Wednesday evening my fiancĂ© and I headed into Newcastle when he finished work for a little bit of shopping. I'd had a bit of a problem with my bank and Air France on Tuesday as they have put through a duplicate transaction and took £800 from me instead of £400 and by this point it still wasn't resolved so I didn't go overboard with my spending, especially since we're supposed to be on a spending ban anyway! Primark - £7 There were plenty of new Disney tshirts in stock, there were three of them that I wanted but I decided to just pick my favourite/the one I was most likely to wear for now so I chose this one with a big Mickey Mouse face print across it. Next - £7 I've been after these since just after Christmas but they weren't in any of the Next stores I visited due to all the sale stock, and on Wednesday I finally tracked a pair down and I just had to buy them then and there! I love the design on the front an

Tsum Tsum Car Holder

Image
If you collect Disney Tsum Tsum's you'll know they get pretty difficult to store and display pretty quickly once your collection starts to get out of hand and when searching around eBay for a Pleakley as they were out of stock while we were in Japan, I found this! It's designed to hold the Tsum Tsum cars, and we don't even have that part of the franchise over here! but the entire storage car was just too cute, I knew I had to have it! It cost around £37 including postage from Japan (it actually arrived two weeks quicker than it was supposed to and I had it before Christmas!) and the wheels on the unit actually work so its just like a giant toy itself, especially if you're buying it for a kid's Tsum Tsum collection. With the shelves in it holds 9 tsum tsums, it would possibly hold another one or two without them in, and of course, you can pile them up on the top, or on the bottom shelf if you want to take off the door or keep it open.
