Japan - Day 4 - Tokyo Disneyland & The Ambassador Hotel

Image
* Apologies if this post comes out a mess, i'm feeling pretty ill at the moment but want to make sure I get this post ready and scheduled as I have a busy week at work starting tomorrow! After an earlyish night last night, we were woken up by our 5am alarms ready to quickly get some breakfast and get dressed before finishing off our packing and heading for the train to Maihama via Shin-Kiba. I had left my fiancé in charge of two things on this trip - the money, and the PASMO cards, so of course, we got to the train station early to top up our cards for the journey, and ! they're not in his wallet. He has an annoying habit of emptying out his wallet when we get back to the room - his reason is his wallet gets fat and doesn't fit in his pocket comfortably - but that doesn't explain why he takes things out that we need and doesn't put them back! So, off we rush back to our room and pick up the cards, arriving back to the station after our originally plann

Japan - Day 3 - Ikebukuro Part Two

Image
Last night we'd managed to have an early night - we planned them a few times throughout the rest of our trip, but, those ended up being the days we ended up going to bed at 2am! I'm not sure how that happened! Anyway, we got up early, had breakfast and got ready, only to remember that nothing really opens before 10am! So we sat around for a little while before heading out into Ikebukuro for a bit of shopping. Our first stop was Animate! The flagship store is located a 5 min walk from our hotel on the way to Sunshine City. We didn't really buy a lot in Animate this year, and we only went in the once - last year we went in practically every day of the trip! I'll show you what we bought later on in this post. Next we headed over to Sunshine City, stopping for some lunch before heading over to the Pokémon Center, The Disney Store, AniCute, Village Vanguard and any other cool little shop we passed on the way! There was an amazing little sweet and toy shop

Japan - Day 2 - Ikebukuro & Exhaustion

Image
Continued on from the travelling day half of 'day one' - just because you didn't really sleep, doesn't make two days into one! As it was around 10:30 when we finally got to Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro we couldn't actually check in yet, so we dropped off our cases and headed over to Sunshine City to get something to eat and do some shopping (what? how can you resist the Pokémon Store, Disney Store and everything else they have in there?!). By the time it hit around 2, we were exhausted and we couldn't check in until 3! So we sat by the fountains in Sunshine City and.. I may have had a few seconds of napping with every blink of an eye before we wandered back to the hotel at around 2:40 because, really, we just couldn't nap in the middle of a busy shopping centre! All checked in, we ended up having a 30min nap - I don't think it was planned! before unpacking and heading back into Sunshine as there were a couple of shops we were just to

Japan - Day 1 - Getting There

Image
Well, where to start with this one! The day of travelling didn't quite go as smoothly as one would hope, there was so much panicking and anxiety involved, but weirdly enough, it all worked out fine in the end! We got to the airport about three hours before our first flight - I know, a bit early, but we like to take our time and get something filling to eat before we head off on a long day of travelling. We dropped our bags of quickly - there wasn't even a queue, and headed through security, again no queue! And soon we were off on our way to pick up some snacks from WHSmith, play in the Namco arcade a little and then fill our faces at Burger King. The wait started to fly over and we found ourselves waiting at the departure board 10min before our gate was announced for it to suddenly say delayed! Now, I may have already mentioned this when we first booked this trip, but Hays Travel messed up our flights - I have no idea how someone could book us onto a different

Disney's The Jungle Book Cupcake Mix

Image
I'm back again with another baking day post! This time I'd picked up a Jungle Book cupcake kit while looking around town for bits for my holiday, obviously, cupcakes and suncream go hand in hand.. This kit was around £1, maybe less, and makes 10 cupcakes. All you need is 1 egg. 1 teaspoon of butter and some water. It's a really simple, quick and easy cupcake kit so would be ideal for rainy days if you have kids. You just mix 3 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of butter, 1 egg and the packet of cake mix all together with an electric whisk. Separate the mix into the 10 cupcake cases. And, if you're like me, you'll also get the cake mix everywhere else too! Stick them in the oven (follow the instructions on the packet) for 12-15min before taking them out and allowing them to cool. Once the cupcakes are cool, you can get to the fun part - the decorating! Empty the icing packet into a bowl and add half a teaspoon of water at a time

Our City In Summer

Image
As i've been playing Pokémon GO since mid-July, i've been walking around my city a lot during the summer season this year, and it's definitely made me realise now beautiful (parts) of the city of Sunderland are and can be, especially with the right weather. Here are a few photos from some of our walks along the coast, it's so drastically different to the cold and dark setting of the City Centre. Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like us on Facebook

Vans Wish List

Image
I have another wish list post for you all! This time I searched through the Vans website and found the top four things I want from them right now. Personally though, a lot of stuff from Vans I prefer to see in person before I order as the last tshirt I bought from them looked nothing like the picture (completely different sleeve styles) and the material was thin and raggy. To be honest, I probably should have emailed them about it to check that it wasn't faulty, but it was showing as out of stock so I didn't bother because I wouldn't have been able to get a replacement. I also ordered a long sleeve tshirt in the size I always buy from Vans, and it was way too big! It's the pj top I wear in the colder months along with my Bart Simpson/Squishee bottoms from H&M now. Anyway, back to the list.. Batter Up Raglan £30 If you know me, you'll know I love raglan tops, and this one might have to come and join my collection! The logo is a decent style, but

Neko Atsume!

Image
[Copyright Hit-Point] I've been playing Neko Atsume on and off since it's original release in Japan - it was a bit of a pain to download here in the UK back then! And there were no English titles! I finally completed the game around one month after Jeeves and Sapphire were released, collecting all of the cats and all of their mementos, but a couple of months ago, they decided to release three new cats! Chip Pasty Bengal Jack I finally managed to find them all again though! But getting their mementos might take a while. Have you completed the game yet?
