January Home Updates

Image
As you may already know we've decided to cut back on holidays this year - after taking a whopping seven last year! We decided to cut back because it really is about time we fix up our house, we've had it for a few years now and we've really done nothing with it other than replace the boiler, a few radiators and pipes, two sides of the back garden fence and had a section of the grass rotovated and regrown. So this month we wrote up a list of what we need and want to do with the house, we won't be able to do all of it this year I don't think, because for example getting an entirely new kitchen is a pretty big job! We want to get the bathroom redone too, it's only recently been finished but its not what we wanted and it's horrible . Who thought a black and white bathroom, with black bathroom door and brown wood ceiling and toilet seat would look nice, I have no idea. We've chosen our new light fittings, well, the bottom & top of the

Durham Lumiere 2017

Image
I'm pretty far behind with this blog, so i'm going to start posting about things I did last year, because they were so long ago they probably wont be in detail, but, they'll have videos so hopefully you'll enjoy these posts anyway! Back in November we went to Durham Lumiere, we didn't manage to get tickets so had to visit late in the evening, but thats fine because the lights sparkle so much better the darker it is outside! Here is our video from Durham Lumiere 2017!

We Got Our Loft Done!

Image
On January 16th we finally got our loft all done! We used a local company called Access Loft Storage . Here was our original, tiny hatch, that our new Christmas tree wouldn't fit through.  And here, is our new, super long hatch. It has built in ladders! Here is our nicely boarded loft. It actually looks pretty big! I wouldn't go as far as saying i'll struggle to fill it because I definitely wont. My fiancé's office is full of boxes at the minute that we need to go through before moving them all up here. Once we get the office and backroom sorted out I can set up my studio! And yes, that is a Jedward poster you can see there.

The YouTube Partner Program

Image
It's been a pretty hot topic the last couple of days so no doubt you'll all already be aware of the situation, but on the 17th, myself and many others found out we're going to be removed from the YouTube Partner Program unless we hit 1000 subscribers AND 4000 hours worth of views over 12 months by February 20th. I remember way back when I originally joined the Partner Program, they were so desperate for new members that they emailed me an invite three times in the space of a few weeks. But now, after being a member of the Partner Program for over half a decade i'll be losing my membership as i'm only at 209 subscribers and around 1500 hours of views/12 months. I've only been posting seriously on my channel for around a year and a half, before that my uploads were sporadic. It just seems pretty unfair that people who have worked hard on their channel for x amount of years will now lose their space in the Partner Program, it would have

Movie Review: Coco

Image
Coco Coco is a lovely story about a boy called Miguel who wants to play music, which is forbidden by his family since his great, great grandfather left his great great grandmother Imelda to pay music rather than settling down to raise his daughter, Coco. As the movie progresses, he sneaks out to take part in a talent show for Día de los Muertos, stealing the guitar of the great musician Ernesto de la Cruz, whom he believes is his great great grandfather after he saw a photo of him with his face torn off, holding Ernesto’s guitar. When he steals the guitar, he becomes invisible to everybody but can be seen by all of the ghosts who are returning to spend time with their families, as is tradition. However, they can only appear if their photo is on their families ofrenda, and Miguel has removed his Imelda’s photo after he damaged it. He can return to the land of the living only if he gets forgiven by a member of his family, Imelda, who places two conditions on his retur

2018 Plans & Goals

Image
It's already pretty far into the New Year and i'm late posting this, it's still not a complete goal list but I just still don't know what i'm doing right now. I haven't really felt like myself for a little while, Christmas didn't even feel like Christmas. Maybe it's my medication, my MS, or the fact i'm just so tired and busy all of the time. Who knows, anyway, on with the list! This is what I have planned so far this year - House - Loft (soon!) - Electrics (new sockets, light fittings etc) - Declutter - Fix up as much of it as we can (floorboards, plastering, etc) [So far we've booked our loft in, picked out some light fittings and where we want our new sockets, and a USB socket for our living room.] Japan - Leave Tokyo again and see more of the country - Go on more rides at DisneySea - See the new lifesize Gundam [So far all we've booked is flights!] Photography - Stock - Personal - Sta

Last year I set myself a challenge - to take a 1 second video of my day, every day for the entire year. Here's how it turned out!
