Vinylmation - Mickey Mouse Cartoon Series If you've read my blog before you probably know i'm quite a collector. Vinylmation was my main thing before Funko POP! figures and it still would be now if the UK store werent phasing Vinylmation out and replacing them with POP!. I couldn't even find any at all in Tokyo Disney Resorts or Stores during my two trips - they've replaced them with Tsum Tsum. This set isn't a standard Vinylmation shape but they still look pretty cool. Stitch Slubbed Tee I absolutely love this tshirt and i'm hoping it's still available in September so I can order it to my hotel in Disney World. I just looked at picking this tshirt, the print below and the backpack but its $60 to ship here! Jerrod Maruyama Enchanted Hipster Print I love Jarrod's Hipser Mickey series, I already have three on my wall but I absolutely need this Dole Whip Enchanted Hipster print, i've been after it for a while but i

Sunderland International Airshow 2017

On Sunday we headed down to the Sunderland International Airshow, it rained pretty much all day, starting as soon as the Red Arrows finished their performance. Heres a video of some of the stuff we saw and got up to!

But i'm really looking forward to revisiting old favourites, for example the dragon under the castle as it was closed during my last trip. And my fiancé hasn't seen Mickey and the Magician yet! We might finally have our first visit to Annette's Diner too, we were supposed to last June but the parks just have so much to offer food wise it just never happened! I really can't wait to get my hands on these treats again either, they're probably my favourite thing at Disneyland Paris! But that could just be because the food and snacks in the American Parks and Tokyo Disney Resort just don't don&

Cars 3 Review

Image
We saw Cars 3 on Tuesday, here is my fiancé's review Cars 3 Cars three follows Lightning McQueen as he comes up against a new challenge: a new generation of super-fast, highly performant cars who train on simulators and use extreme performance analysis to perfect every part of their drive, smashing speed records and retiring older cars along the way. The leader of this new pack is Jackson Storm. There's nothing too evil about the new cars, just McQueen doesn't want to be told when he is going to retire, he wants to decide for himself so he sets out to get better and beat them at their own game. After trying to follow their training, and coming short due to his old age, he decides he needs to get back to basics and "get his tires dirty" in order to beat them and so goes racing on the beach with his new trainer Cruz Ramirez, before deciding to try going undercover into an indie race which ends up being a demolition derby which Cruz surprisingly wins,

War For The Planet Of The Apes Review

Image
War for the Planet of the Apes The third instalment of the reboot follows on from the second, Caesar still fighting for his forest and the humans hell-bent on killing them all. This time, the humans have some apes (that they call "donkeys") helping them, apes outcast after joining Koba in the last movie. The movie starts off well, then kinda plods along slowly, building suspense. After the evil Colonel (Woody Harrelson) kills his wife and eldest son while looking for Caesar, Caesar decides to move the apes to a new home which his son had found, having just returned with the news. Caesar isn't joining them, however, he goes off after the Colonel. Three other apes (Maurice, Luca and Rocket) join him to help, against his initial wishes. They find from the albino traitor Winter that the Colonel has moved to a base called the border, where he is joining with more soldiers from the north. They eventually find the base with the help of Bad Ape and a little girl

WDW & FL Planning Update!

Image
I haven't really spoken too much about our up coming main holiday this year, especially not compared to our last two years visiting Japan, so I thought i'd just post a quick little update on what we've got planned for our Florida trip in September! We're staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside for two weeks - we had originally booked the Caribbean Beach but due to the refurb we've had to move as I need proper food options for my medication. We're also spending a couple of days at Universal Studios!  My fiancé booked us into the Hard Rock Hotel for a couple of nights, I kind of wanted to stay at Loews Portofino Bay because it looks amazing and we stayed at the Hard Rock last time, but we know HRH is amazing and that hotel only bag check is ideal for time saving. It doesn't look like we're going back to Discovery Cove or the Kennedy Space Center this time round but we're planning on doing Mickey's Not So Scary Hallow

NERG 2017

Image
A couple of weeks ago we visited NERG on the Sunday of their yearly event. It was the first time we've ever visited NERG but I dare say we'll definitely be back next year! The place was pretty busy, and there were plenty of dealers selling fake items but, if you ignore those bits you'll have an amazing time! I absolutely loved being able to play Addams Family Pinball and The Simpsons Arcade Game like I did when I was a child. Sadly, our local arcade got rid of Addams Family pinball fairly recently and we were devastated! We loved playing that game. Indiana Jones pinball was a new one for us, it was pretty difficult but amazing at the same time! Now we're just contemplating dropping £6-8k on a pinball machine for our spare room or the back of our kitchen. I also got to play Asteroids on a proper arcade machine rather than a computer! I loved it but its so much harder on an arcade machine, keyboard controls are so much easier! That was o

50 Things In 2017 Update

Image
It's been a whole month since our last 50 things update! We've crossed off another five things, but since theres only a few months left of the year now i'm pretty worried we won't be able to complete the entire thing! (probably won't be doing 30 and 31 to be honest. Scrapbooking is an expensive and messy hobby and we're in the middle of sorting out our house! We finally have a new fence and an outside tap!. [Probably won't be lucky enough to do 22 either]). What we crossed off in the past month: 2. Visit Rome 11. Sunnycon 19. See Blink 182 20. Go to NERG 46. Get a new iMac Here is the full list of what we've crossed off and what we have left to complete: 1. Visit Berlin 2. Visit Rome 3. Visit Disneyland Paris 4. Visit Walt Disney World 5. Make a chocolate photo frame 6. Save money 7. Declutter 8. Post a YouTube Video every week 9. Bake a heart shaped cake 10. Go to Chinese New Year events 11. Sunnycon

Spider-Man Homecoming Review

Image
We never got around to writing a review for Transformers, so here is my fiancé's review of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider-Man: Homecoming is the return of Spider-Man to the MCU and, obviously aware of the fact that nobody can sit through another traumatic Uncle Ben dying scene, is a bit of a rewrite of the character. So we start off in the aftermath of the first Avengers movie, introducing our main antagonists being effectively fired from the city cleanup job, stealing some alien technology by "forgetting to turn it in" and deciding to get revenge on the rich people, Stark etc, who "made the mess and now get paid to clean it up." We then get a recap of the events in the Captain America: Civil War movie from the eyes of Peter Parker, who'd been keeping a video diary. This is a movie about growing up and figuring out what your role is in society, for Peter he strives to be one of the Avengers but, at 15, isn&

Rome - Day Four - Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & Fatamorgana Gelato

Image
We got up around 7am, we had time for a pretty slow morning and had planned to have an early lunch ready for our 1pm reservation at the Vatican Museums. The day went pretty smoothly, except at 11:30 when I realised, whilst we were already a short walk from the Vatican that we didn't have our passports with us!! So a mad rush - well, my fiancé had a mad rush - back to the hotel while I waited in the Metro station (by this point my feet were wrecked and I really couldn't walk at regular speed, never mind rushing!) he was soon back with the passports, which they never even asked for! The website had specifically stated no shorts, no hat, no digital video or photo equipment, so after melting all morning in long pants and not bringing my camera along you can see why i'd be a bit annoyed by the view below. And further along at the Sistine Chapel they were letting people in with shorts, vests and hats too! We skipped some of the museum, it was so ho

Rome - Day Three - Bioparco Di Roma & Hotel Problems!

Image
We were up around 7am again today, a little bit of a lazy morning, I don't think we left the hotel until after 9. We set off on the 30 minute walk to the zoo, I thought i'd finally get a tan during this walk! But after 10min or so I was diving into the shade. The walk was beautiful and the park next to the zoo was amazing. We spent a few hours here, we would have spent longer but we hadn't taken any food with us as we expected the restaurants to be open - they weren't.  We found a snack place that sold hot dogs and crisps and that had to do. Pretty let down to be honest. I've been to zoos in other countries in MARCH and their food places were open! After the zoo we headed back to the hotel, we were planning on quickly getting changed and charging up our phones before heading out to do more shopping and get some Nutella Gelato but our plans were due to be ruined.. Back at the hotel, you may remember from Day Two that I me

Rome - Day Two - Colosseum & Trevi Fountain

Image
We got up pretty early - well, around 7am, my fiancé headed down to breakfast while I snoozed a little and then had the breakfast i'd picked up the night before (I have to take my medication with foods that are high in fat and protein and the cereal and hot dogs they served at breakfast just wouldn't cut it!). After breakfast we quickly got ready and then headed over to the Colosseum - we'd prebought our tickets before our holiday. It's ideal to do this with the Colosseum because you don't have to specify a day or time for your visit. We spent a couple of hours looking around and taking a ton of photos and videos before heading for lunch - we were going to visit the Roman Forum but by the time we'd gone off to find food we were at least a 30min walk away from the area and decided not to go back. I think it had a lot to do with the heat, I don't think i'm managing it as well as I used to now that I have MS. Oh well. We decided to
