Fenwick Christmas Floor

On Saturday October 10th the Christmas floor at Fenwick Newcastle finally opened!

Unfortunately, my fiancé started his new job on Monday the 12th and it's in York! So we couldn't make it there until Thursday the 15th which means I had to spend days itching to go!

The Fenwick Christmas floor is my favourite part of Christmas - in a shopping centre anyway, and thats if you exclude the Fenwick Christmas window. Usually at Christmas, i'd spend my time there while waiting for my fiancé's Metro arriving at Monument, but this year he's working a mix of in York and at home, so i'll have no waiting around or little adventures around it writing out a shopping list this year.

This year they've decorated the floor a lot nicer in my opinion. Last year was very untraditional and Alice in Wonderland theme (which broke the surprise when the window was unveiled as it was also Alice in wonderland themed!), this year it's traditional with presents and sleighs hanging from the ceiling, and on the escalator up to the floor they've covered the wall in TV screens which show a lovely snowy scenery (quick sneaky photo bottom left). I'm not sure if everything is available on the floor yet as there was a distinct lack of chocolate coins, gourmet chocolate pizzas and Lindt advent calendars which are the main things we pick up here every year and the main point of my visit was to pick up a small chocolate pizza for my brother's Christmas box as theres still a little space in there, but to be honest, it's probably not enough space for a chocolate pizza!

The decorations are as lovely as always but I don't remember seeing any fairy lights this year, which is what we need! I did find a lovely light up, glittery, snow globe style Christmas tree in the light room though and I think I might need to pick one of those up closer to December!

They have lots of awesome stocking fillers and novelty gifts from mini selfie sticks and cat selfie kits (I want this so bad!) to fingers and fists on sticks and Wookiee Cookie jars.

You'll definitely be able to do a good chunk of your Christmas shopping here, theres something for everyone, the Star Wars obsessed, the stationary enthusiasts and even the chocolate lovers, this floor has you covered.

Here's last years Christmas window display to keep you going.
