Barcelona - Getting there & Day 1

On 6:30am Monday morning we set off for the airport, arriving a little earlier than planned but I like a bit of time to get something to eat and wander around the shops anyway. We were flying with Easyjet from Newcastle Airport, it was our 7th flight of the year if you include connections! Its the first time either of us have flown with Easyjet in around seven years so we weren't really sure what to expect but the flight out went ok, the food options were alright and not too expensive, although the bacon sandwich was covered in fat.

As usual, I had the window seat, technically it was my fiancé's seat but he lets me have it. I might have gone a little overboard with taking photographs on the way out!

We had a short wait of around 15min for our From2 transfer as we were waiting on a few more passengers, but not long after we were on our way to our home for the next few nights - Hotel Soho in Barcelona.

The room was absolutely amazing, and i'll be writing a proper review post of the hotel including a video room tour at the end of my trip report posts.

We'd originally planned on going to the Aquarium on our first night but the weather was good and we weren't predicted much more of it! So we went for a wander around, and I managed to spend €55 in the first shop I went in just on one jumper! It was lovely though, and I really can't resist buying anything whenever I visit Billabong!

Thats the end of our first day, I hope you're enjoying our trip report so far!
