Barcelona - Day 3 - Our 10th Anniversary - Aquarium & Maremagnum
The Wednesday was the reason we booked this fourth holiday of the year - our 10th anniversary.
We'd already exchanged gifts before we left as our luggage allowance was pretty small, plus one of the gifts I got him was for him to use while we were away!
It was a pretty gloomy, rainy day so we ended up cancelling our original plans and heading over to the Aquarium - like post people seem to do when its raining! - i've been here before but my fiancé hasn't. Neither of us really thought much of the aquarium and all I could remember from my previous trip was the moving walkway through the tunnels, but now that i'm older i've realised how long and boring they are, they're fine for the first five minutes, but the two together took around 20min!
Once we'd finished up in the gift shop (have to! - got a couple of friends Nemo fish magnets here and they love them) we headed back outside, and yup, it was still horrible and raining!
Luckily, theres a shopping centre right next door!
Our first stop was Dunkin' Coffee where my fiancé picked up a donut and a coffee, it was freezing here, it was basically open as there isn't a wall on the outside of the coffee shop.
We wandered around the shopping centre until the rain died down, then rushed back to the hotel to decide what to do with the rest of our afternoon.
I think we ended up back around the Urquinaona area again for a while before having an early night for a hopefully warmer and drier day on Thursday!
