Japan - Day 9 - Sanrio Puroland & Earthquake

Another sort of slow start this morning, with the weather forecast predicting rain last night we decided to set our alarms for 8am and head out to Sanrio Puroland for the day as it's an indoor theme park and we didn't get a chance to visit it last year, plus we thought it might have a bit more to do in it than J-World and Namja Town which we visited last August, and we were right!

We headed out for an early lunch in the rain around 10am, ok, so we're running late already as Sanrio Puroland opens then and its quite far away! but we just didn't really feel like rushing around on a day like this. We then caught the train and were soon arriving at Sanrio Puroland! Even the train station was Hello Kitty themed!

After a very short queue to buy tickets we got in the park just in time for the Miracle Gift Parade! obviously we didn't have the best view as probably 90% of people in Sario Puroland were already sat down waiting for the parade - and this includes all of the staircases so there was no moving around to be done at this point! but we did manage to see quite a bit of it - until some guy sat his toddler on the balcony right in front of my face, that is.

After the parade we queued up for the Character Boat Ride which had a queue time of around 40 minutes. It was a cute little ride! Similar to It's A Small World but obviously Sanrio themed.

We then wandered around checking out all of the little lands before ending up in the food court where we decided to get some fries and nuggets to share. The fries were delicious! And all of the packaging, even the napkins were so cute.

We then passed a Gudetama Prize Game which my fiance tried out and won me a few little prizes before we got in the queue for Mymeroaddrive. It's basically a purikura drive through attraction.

Once we got off the ride the Halloween Parade was queue to start so we rushed out to get a good space for this! We didn't get a good space, I guess thats the problem with indoor theme parks, everyone will be at the parade, its not like Disney where they might be at the opposite side of the park, all of the paths and stairs clog up with people watching the parade here.

We then headed out of the park, via every gift shop we passed and straight into an arcade as there was a cute Pompompurin prize in the machine at the door!

We then headed back to our hotel for a rest, but not long had we been there and a pretty strong earthquake hit - a lot stronger than the one we experienced last year, but nothing major. It's the third earthquake we've felt in Japan and the worst.

We then picked up some food and settled in for an early night.
