Japan - Day 5 - DisneySea

Ok, you may have seen on my previous posts that i've not been very well recently, but i'm finally back, im still not back to 100% but I thought I would try to get back on top of these posts while i'm restrengthening my eyes and getting them to work together again now that the double vision is subsiding. So.. day five...

What should have started as a really easy day, we should have been on time, but my fiance refused to iron his clothes before we packed our Disney bag and his tshirts were all a total state this morning! He left to head to reception to ask about borrowing an ironing board, but he didn't make it that far as there was a member of staff out hanging newspapers on room doors at this point (great service, a newspaper in your own language without even asking!) so he asked him and he said to go back to our room and he'd have someone up with an ironing board soon - this took about 10 minutes so did ruin our chances of getting our happy 15 minutes in DisneySea but its still quite nice that it was brought to us rather than the other way around!

Once we finally got to DisneySea we wandered around for a little while as we were waiting for Crystal Wishes Journey to start but it was hot so we didn't want to sit in the sun for too long. Eventually we ended up sitting there for around 45minutes and I think thats where the majority of my 30 mosquito bites came from! We were sat by a Hiro Hamada cosplayer - the first one I saw of many that day as during the first and last weeks of the Halloween Season at Tokyo Disney Resort adult guests are allowed to dress up in Disney costumes! We ended up seeing an alternative version of the show in the end as they announced that the hot weather was too extreme to perform the original version of the show - i'm not surprised, it was over 30C and mixing that with costumes and dancing would be insane!

We then headed over for food at Cape Cod Cook-Off but opted not to watch the Duffy show at all this year - it's a great show if you've not seen it before, or even if you just love Duffy but the queues are very long compared to regular dining! But, at least you're guaranteed a seat once you've been served on the Duffy side!

I don't really have a lot of notes for our day at DisneySea so from here it gets a bit mashed, I know we spent most of the day wandering around the park, taking it all in, taking photographs, just spending a nice day together really so thats probably what we did after getting lunch and before heading back to the hotel for a break from the heat/to probably change into a new matching pair of t-shirts because we may have gone a little bit over board with that this year!

When we got back to DisneySea we headed over to the Indiana Jones ride, the only ride we actually went on in DisneySea! the queue was quite long and there were obviously no fastpasses left, but we waited it out anyway - and just as we got into the undercover queue area, it started to rain! so we were quite lucky with our timing there!

I hadn't been feeling 100% today so after the ride we headed over for food at Cape Cod where I could rest a bit and get something to eat - my fiance also surprised me with the two things i'd wanted most from our trip to DisneySea - the Duffy and Shellie May cup sleeves!

We then watched Fantasmic, or what was left of it as it had already started by this point and then moved in for a good firework viewing spot as the park started to empty out.

Then we watched the Sky High Wishes fireworks together before doing a little bit of Pokémon hunting in the park - what? Asia does have a region locked Pokémon, ya'know? And then headed back to the hotel, aiming to get some sleep before we head back out for 8am park openings in the morning, expecting it to be hectic as it would be Saturday!
