Disney's Ambassador Hotel Review

Since this is the only new hotel we stayed at this year, i've decided just to write a review for this one. The Sakura Hotel and Hotel Sunny were just the same as they were last year.

We stayed at the Disney Ambassador Hotel at Tokyo Disney Resort for three nights, and we'd booked to stay in one of the Donald Duck rooms. I'll start off by showing you a video tour of our room below.

The room was absolutely lovely, the entire hotel was! We didn't try any of the restaurants so I can't comment on those but the gift shop was the same standard as any other Disney Hotel and the mini supermarket I would say was even better. The mini supermarket stocked everything from Disney themed deodorants to Disney bottles of water, Disney snacks, Disney plasters, if it's Disney, they have it! I think they also had a small range of mini bento meals and other eat on the go foods.

The Hotel itself was beautifully themed, right down to the smallest details, even the voice in the elevator was Mickey Mouse!

The Disney Hotels offer special tickets to onsite guests which must be purchased either in a vacation package or once you arrive at the hotel. These tickets allow you to park hop from day one, usually this isn't allowed until the third day of a three or four day park ticket. As an onsite guest you also get the privilege of Happy 15, that's 15 extra minutes in the park before official opening time, its not the same standard as the Extra Magic Hours you get in other parks, but as Disneyland and especially DisneySea open earlier to the public here it's not surprising that its not a big offering. It's just enough to get you into the queue for Toy Story Mania before it hits that two hour wait time.

It's possibly worth mentioning that this is the only hotel we've stayed at in Japan where we've been offered an English newspaper, we didn't ask for it or have to pay for it, it was just an extra little touch that they hung out on your room door on a morning. That's going the extra mile for foreign guests.

My favourite part of the room, well except for the theming and little Donald amenities you were allowed to take home, was the bath! It was as long as a Western bath but as deep as a Japanese bath and theres just something I love about being able to sit in a bath full of hot water that goes up to my chin! The most relaxing bath i've ever had.

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, I didn't want to leave when it came to check out time!
Next time we stay here i'm hoping we can book the Mickey Mouse room, the theming looks just as amazing as the Donald rooms but the rooms are a suite so it'd definitely have to be a special occasion.
