Christmas Wishlist - Adventurous Traveller Edition

It's the Christmas season and quite often people find it hard to figure out what to buy each other so i've compiled this short list of the ideal five things a frequent and adventurous traveller would love to receive this holiday season.

This is the ideal gift and camera for an adventurous traveller, back when I climbed Mt Fuji i'd been considering getting one just so I could record the entire climb but I decided against it because I really wasn't sure what else i'd use it for as my trip really wasn't all that adventurous, but for people who like to surf, bungee, zipline or anything else extreme on their travels this is the ideal gift.

New Bag or suitcase

Suitcases and bags can be pretty expensive and they really don't last that long, my current suitcase has been with me through Florida, Paris, London, Japan, Barcelona, New York and Paris again, but that was it's last journey as on the return from New York I noticed it was getting pretty raggy and some of the material was coming away, I definitely wouldn't have trusted that case to go through another long haul journey or airline connection. When buying a suitcase remember to find a light weight one, ideally with four wheels as they're easier to lug around and more stable, you also want to be able to fit somewhere between 90-111L in there.

Battery Packs

As we all like to stay connected and share our lives and photographs with our friends and the rest of the world, battery packs are ideal for someone travelling, they'll supply a recharge of your iPhone (or other smart phones) on the go so you don't have to worry about not being able to access your map apps or take photographs (if they don't have another camera handy). My personal favourite is the Incase Portable Power as the charging wire to charge the pack comes connected to the pack - but it is a little impractical and I fear that the wire will snap at some point leaving the device useless, I bought my fiancé the Pebble Smartstick, its a lot smaller which is ideal for travelling but we've yet to use this so I don't know how much charge it holds or how long it takes to charge up itself (the Incase one takes around 6+ hours)

Craghoppers

I bought a pair of these before my trip to Tokyo - just for the day we climbed Mt Fuji and I just loved them, these are the ideal trousers for someone who likes to hike or climb mountains. They sell them in Debenhams and come in a range of designs - you can even get some full length trousers that convert into shorts which is ideal for the summer.

Travel organiser

Travel organisers are ideal for people heading away soon, they can hold your passport, boarding passes, hotel reservations, attraction tickets, pens and just about any other document you'll need all together so you don't have to worry about losing any of having to dig through your entire bag to find something, its all in one place and organised.
