Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro Hotel Review

The original and main hotel we booked for our trip to Japan was the Sakura Hotel in Ikebukuro, we had this hotel booked for our entire stay but ended up checking out a day early when our original flight home got cancelled.

The hotel was clean and the room was big enough to have space to store our suitcases which is why we booked the superior room as we wanted space for our three cases.

We ended up not spending much time here as we changed hotel a few times throughout our stay, we had breakfast in the cafe on our last morning but I wish we'd done it sooner as it was really nice.

The only downside to this hotel was the fact it could get loud at night. Sometimes the sound came from the cafe or the street but we also had a loud neighbour a couple of doors down, we never saw them as they always had the do not disturb sign on the door and every night when we'd go back to the hotel they'd still have their bag of towels hanging on the door so they still hadn't been up or outside by then.

The view from the room wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as the view we had at Hotel Sunny and we weren't really staying in the hotel so we could look out of the window all day.
