Early Anniversary Celebration

We had set a spending limit for this anniversary, which is odd as its our 10th! But I ended up going over budget anyway.

This is what I got him -

Invader Zim issue 1
Back when I was in College, Nickelodeon started airing Invader Zim again and my fiancé had never seen it before. It soon became our show and he got me the Invader Zim box set (expensive!) and a multiregional DVD player to play it on earlier this year. Oni Press recently started a new Invader Zim comic series, and nowhere in the UK, well Newcastle/Sunderland seems to stock it! So I had to order this one online, pretty expensive for a $4 comic, but he's worth it. Now all we need is the Gir Funko POP! figure.

Bodum Travel Press Set
He already owns two French Press sets and has recently started saying how much of a coffee snob he's become since he started drinking coffee again (he went on a coffee ban after I renamed him Grumpy. Yes, like the dwarf! so every opportunity I get, he tends to get something Grumpy related, but for our anniversary I thought i'd just get him this instead as he'd appreciate it more, and not Grump out by saying he's not Grumpy!)

He already has a recharge battery pack but lost the wire for it before we went away. And annoyingly, he bought a new wire a week or two after I ordered this one! But this one is a lot smaller and more travel friendly.

Pete's Dragon DVD
He's been after this for quite a while, and after seeing the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade he started asking for it all over again. He even asked in the Disney Store when we went in to pick up some Tsum Tsums for our collection and the staff who worked there hadn't seen it released for quite a while either. I managed to find it on Amazon and expected to have to buy a Region 1 DVD, but nope! Its actually a European edition so it'll work on all of our DVD players and not just the multiregional one.

Mickey Mouse bento style lunchbox
I've wanted this since I saw it along with the plates and cups and everything, but since this is really aimed at small children my fiancé said no to getting them, then surprised me with this!

Snakes

Haribo Yellow Belly snakes. Theres a specific little shop down the street from our house where we often pop into for some sweets on our way to the beach but we haven't walked down there for quite a while and now the leaves are changing we probably won't head back down there on foot for quite a while, so he walked down one day and picked up a few snakes to see me through to the summer. :)

Disney Pjs

I love pjs. I have two full drawers and a pile of pjs. I need more pjs.

I picked these ones out, it must have taken about half an hour to pick the pair I wanted, there were so many nice bottoms in the shop but no nice tops!

Socks

I don't have a photograph of these right now because he can't remember where he put them! I picked out three pairs of socks in Next a couple of weeks ago (two Disney and a Snoopy I think) and he got me those. We spent £26 on socks for me that day.

Card

I didn't share the card I gave, and i'm not sharing the card I got either but he'd really put a lot of effort into the envelope and I just love it. I even opened it carefully right across the top so I could keep the envelope forever. ♥

I met him when he finished work and we'd planned on celebrating our anniversary early but the weather was horrible and we still had so much to sort out for our anniversary trip to Barcelona so we didn't really do anything special! Just shopping and some food, a whole lot of smiling.
