Day 5 - Shibuya & J-World Tokyo

Shibuya

We decided to spend the late morning and early afternoon in Shibuya, we were running late because we'd had to change hotels back in the morning so we'd lost a couple of hours coming back from Maihama. We headed for lunch by the JR station before we headed to Shibuya.

I got a Youkai Watch fry belt clip.

The main reason we took a trip to Shibuya was so we could visit the popup Naruto shop in Parco. To be honest, I was a bit let down by this store, i'd seen loads of photographs online of the shop but they just didn't seem to have as much stuff when we went, but the store was due to close a week later. There is a Boruto limited shop opening in Tokyo at the end of the month, but sadly we're already back home.

On the way to Parco we paid a quick visit to a UFO arcade, the first one of the trip. My fiancé won me a big, cuddly Rascal Racoon, although he looks angry, I absolutely love him and there was no way we were leaving him behind.

Back in my MySpace days I was 'RacheltheRacoon' so Rascal means even more to me, especially since my fiancé won him for me, as he's the one who named me Racoon after I named him Willis The Wallaby.

On the way back to Ikebukuro we stopped by the Disney Store, it wasn't much different to the one in Ikebukuro or Ikspiari so we just picked up a Stitch phone accessory for my phone. I haven't taken it out of the box yet though.

This is what we bought from the Naruto pop-up shop, the poster was free and its of Boruto and Sasuke.

J-World Tokyo

We visited J-World Tokyo quite late in the evening so we didn't really have enough time to have a proper look around or try out any of the attractions so we just bought the standard entry ticket. We had a look around each of the sections before heading over into the arcade area (this wasn't intentional, we were planning a quick trip before heading for dinner and then going for an early night! thats not how it happened). We ended up winning five or six figures from the UFO machines before being told it was closing time and we had to go, so much for our early night!

We headed out back to the hotel, but thats where it took another turn for the worse! We ended up in the Sega arcade for an hour or so, then we really did need to head back and go to bed, it was near enough midnight by the time we got back.

In the above photograph you can see the figures we won, the two in the middle on the top are the ones we won at the Sega arcade, the rest of them we won at J-World.
