Finding Dory Review

Last night my fiancé and I went to see Finding Dory - here is his review!

Finding Dory

Finding Dory is the sequel to Finding Nemo, only this time Dory, our favourite forgetful fish, is the one who goes missing when she convinces Marlin and Nemo to help her find her parents after banging her head and remembering that they lived in California… obviously Marlin is totally against the idea but (eventually) reluctantly recruits Crush to take them to California on the current.

The closer she gets, the more she starts remembering about her childhood which leads her further and further from Nemo and Marlin, who have to 'think like Dory' to get out of some scrapes.

Once she finds the place her parents lived, she meets some old friends and some new ones, including grumpy, mischievous octopus Hank who agrees to help Dory in return for her tag which will get him taken to Cleveland to live out his days in peace.

Eventually she finds her parents but again gets separated which results in one of the most hilarious driving scenes I have ever seen with Hank steering and (easily distracted and forgetful) Dory on navigation.

After another (more successful) reunion, the whole group (including Dory's parents) move back and play hide and seek.

The after-credits scene features some other beloved old friends who might finally be able to go back to the ocean… or maybe that'll be the next movie!
