Disneyland Paris - Day 1
Our flight was later than our usual flight choice departing at 11:50am as I finish work at 9pm on a Saturday night, the 6am flight just wasn't going to happen!
We got to the airport in good time and did the usual - Burger King for lunch and a trip into the Namco Arcade before heading to WHSmith to pick up some drinks and do some last minute snack shopping (I know, I know, its cheaper to buy before you go to the airport! But Nik Naks always tempt me while i'm in departures!) we'd already bought cherry drops before heading to the airport so we were already set for something to stop our ears popping.
Not long before our gate was due to be announced, we found that our flight had been delayed for around 40min! :(
The time dragged, but eventually we got on our plane! The flight went quick and it wasn't long before we had finally arrived in Paris!
We rushed and caught the next magical shuttle (previously the VEA) to our hotel - the Hotel New York!
We checked in and dropped off our things before rushing out to the parks, having to stop by the reception desk on the way as the lock on our door wasn't working! They said they'd send someone up to our room while we were out, so off we headed to the parks!
Our first mission was to get something to eat! So we headed over to Cafe Hyperion as our favourite, Hakuna Matata would be closed our entire trip. On the way we picked up a Fast Pass for Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast. We were surprised at how empty the place was as theres always a queue to get served in here! After food it was time for our Fast Pass, which basically made no difference to the queue time as the time had dropped down from 20min to 5min! After the ride we picked up our on ride photo as we had the Photo Pass+ and then headed over to ride on Pirates of The Caribbean, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups and It's A Small World before heading to Main Street and Disney Village for a little bit of shopping before heading back to the hotel early.
When we got to the room we found that the lock hadn't been fixed so we had to go back and have someone sent up again. Within 20min or so they'd been and fixed it - although we're not too sure it was actually fixed!
We then headed over to McDonald's for something to eat before getting an 'early' night (Disney style early, so like.. midnight/1am?) ready for Extra Magic Hours in the morning!
