Japan Update - 40 days to go!
With just 40 days to go now I thought I'd best post another update!
Things have been moving a bit more slowly since the last update, but we've just found out that the Fussa Tanabata Matsuri is on the day after the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival so we'll hopefully be popping over to Fussa Station for a little while that day.
We've booked another hotel, I know, four hotels in one trip, thats a little bit over the top..
But this hotel we needed because our original flight home was cancelled and now the Narita Express from Ikebukuro can't get us to the airport in time for our flight home. So we're moving to a hotel near Nippori Station and will be taking the Keisei Skyliner to the airport. Like our hotel near Disneyland, we can't pay for it until we check in.
We still don't have tickets for the Fireworks, we had asked someone we know who is living in Tokyo to help us out because it looks like tickets need to be picked up from 7 Eleven, and he just said he was too busy watching E3 to walk a few minutes to his nearest Konbini for us.
We haven't bought anything else we need to take with us yet, but I think we've picked a bag that we need for when we head over to Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka, its a pretty big bag and we already have it, it just means it'll be taking up more space in our cases.
We still need to add an extra case on our return leg as apparently Hays Travel can't do that anymore.
Our last day is still somewhat open, Comiket is a possibility but we need to check in to that last hotel with three cases so we're trying to avoid some rush hours etc. Theres not much about the hotel online and they don't have Facebook, Twitter and I can't even find an email form for them so we don't know if they have left luggage storage, if they did we'd drop off our cases before heading to Comiket or where ever for the day, but now it looks like we'll either be taking our stuff over for around 3pm or trying to get onto the Yamanote Line at around 7 or 8pm with three cases. We could take two trips if we had to really. Its only a 12min journey on the train.
A catalogue of some of the new Stitch themed merchandise from Disneyland's Stitch Summer has been released, and I need pretty much all of it! So i'll have no money left by the end of day two.
