The Avengers Age Of Ultron

Last night my fiancé and I went to see The Avengers Age Of Ultron!

Stan Lee's cameo in this is my favourite of all of them so far.

The movie was great - as expected - but I think the first one was better, there was more of a storyline behind it, the second one is just piecing together bits from other movies - Hydra, finding Loki's sceptre, and a Leviathan even appears in the movie.

There are three main new characters here who we haven't seen before (well, two, because technically one of them was in the last XMEN movie) - the three new Avengers throughout the movie are Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, and Vision. Although at the end we see more new Avengers joining the group, and one main member potentially leaving - or just going away for a while. We also lose was main 'character' who we all know and love - Jarvis, and his replacement - Friday, just doesn't sound right.

But don't worry - we don't completely lose Jarvis - he becomes The Vision.

We also see a new relationship forming throughout the group - and no, its not Hawkeye and Black Widow!

I really don't like writing little reviews of movies as I don't want to spoil anything so everything I write is so basic! But I recommend you all go out and see this movie, if you've not seen the first Avengers movie yet you should see it first, but if you don't have time just go straight in for the new one.

To sum up the movie

Plenty of fight scenes, some good jokes, and someone even picks up Thor's hammer!

Credit clip!

I'm not going to tell you what happened in the clip, but I will tell you it's something to do with Thanos.

My fiancé's review:

Avengers: Age of Ultron - one of the most hyped movies of recent times… from the trailers you kinda expect more from the movie than it delivers, not to say that the movie is bad but it could have been a lot better.

You see, I totally expected the Avengers to be pushed to the limit, totally overpowered and only triumphing after a rally call and epic battle.

As it turns out, Iron Man's battle with the Hulk was good but not good enough, the battle at the end turned out to basically be a walkover and, save a few funny moments (including somebody other than Thor holding Mjolnir) the movie had the problem of taking itself too seriously.

I must point out again that it was a good movie and I enjoyed it, I just think some parts were rushed and some parts were drawn out much longer than they should be, as if they were patronising us by saying "this is complicated so we are going to hold your hand through it" and "this is emotional so we're gonna have a brief flit around it"

Oh, and there was no Spider-Man or Black Panther. So there.
