Home The Movie

I recently went to see Home (well, it was back in March) so I thought I would write up what I thought about the movie.

My fiancé and I both enjoyed the movie, and thought 'Oh's character was somewhat similar to Jim Parson's Sheldon character on Big Bang Theory, some of the lines that Boov came out with were just too similar!


Personally, I thought the trailer ruined the movie as 90% of the best scenes were shown in the trailer, so it was a bit of a downer when you saw the movie after you've seen the trailer so many times but its still definitely worth seeing (although, perhaps when its out on DVD or if you go on cheap Tuesdays like we did).


The ending is a tear-jerker mind, so bring the tissues! I won't give any spoilers, just be prepared for that ending!




I asked my fiancé for his review of the movie and he said the following:

"Home is the story of a little alien called "Oh" who discovers the meaning of 'family' from a little girl who was separated from her mother when Oh's species invaded and relocated humans because they're on the run from an (apparently) evil alien enemy who they've stolen something very important from. Oh ultimately saves the day by returning the item to the alien and reuniting the girl with her mother. There's a cat too.

Jim Parsons plays the "Sheldon Cooper" of the alien species, which is sad as it appears that he's now been typecast into that role, that said, a lot to like about Home, some of the jokes are predictable but still funny, I think kids will probably find it more enjoyable."
