Fulwell Quarry
On the morning of the 21st of April, it was warm and sunny so I decided to get ready and head out on an adventure.
I live very close to Fulwell Quarry, and its not somewhere I really like to visit at all - never mind on my own! Now-a-days its frequented by groups of adolescents who gather to drink, start fires and race their stolen cars (my first car was stolen - and found in the quarry with one from two streets away!).
In the morning, especially on a school day, its a quiet and peaceful place, you see quite a few people walking their dogs, but nothing else going on.
The first thing I noticed when I got onto the quarry is that someone has decided a big, open field where drunk youths hang out is the perfect place for three horses to be chained down! The entire field was just full of horse waste so they've definitely been living there a while, and they must be moving the horses around the field to ensure they have grass etc. But still, not the best place to leave a horse, with no shelter from our bad weather.
I spent around an hour wandering around and taking photographs, here a a few of them.
