The Apple Watch

I had been eagerly awaiting the release date announcement for the Apple Watch since we watched the iPhone 6 keynote while we were in Florida last year, I personally don't want one, really, well not enough to buy one, and i'll explain why a little later in this post.

I ended up working over the keynote so I missed it, but thankfully my fiancé watched it for me, although he sent me more information on the new MacBook than the watch, which was what I asked him to send me the information on! I had been planning on preordering one as a surprise for his birthday, but on the day of the keynote I unfortunately found out it doesn't come out until a few days after his birthday, so I had to discuss it with him and now its not a surprise anymore. So come April 10th i'll hopefully be preordering a Apple Watch Sport in space grey with a black strap and the larger screen - i'd asked him which one he thought was the nicest a week before the keynote, and obviously, if he actually wanted one.

Personally I don't want one simply because we live in a cold country and i'd only actually wear it in the summer, and even then only when i'm not wearing a jacket. I do like the Apple Watch and owning one would be amazing, just not while I live in North East England, but perhaps if I lived in California. I personally don't wear a watch on a day to day basis either so that has quite a bit of influence over my decision not to get one for myself, although I really would like to partner it up with the one my fiancé is getting.

I don't want to go into too much detail about the Apple Watch itself, I prefer not to dig too much into the spec and pre-release reviews that crop up online and see the product for myself before believing all the bad points you see online - theres quite a few about the battery life online at the moment, and thats the only bit i've looked into because its the only thing that you absolutely need to know before purchasing a wireless device, but my fiancé says he won't be using the watch for calls or anything else like that as he will obviously still have his iPhone 6 with him at most times. I feel the watch - as long as he actually remembers to put it on as he's bad with watches, and even his FitBit often ends up left on the bench after he's gone to work - will be useful to my fiancé as he regularly needs to check his work emails even when he's not in the office and the watch will also alert him when i'm trying to contact him, whereas he always misses my calls if he doesn't have his phone in his hand or pocket as he refuses to take it off silent!

Although, off the topic of the Apple Watch but staying on topic with Apple, I would like a MacBook pro or a new MacBook (not the new style though) as my old MacBook is pretty old now, my Mam got me it in 2007 as a leaving school/starting college/Christmas mix present. I recently set up a new ISA account and i'm saving money in it on a weekly basis, the account is specifically so I can save up for the iPhone 7 and a new iMac as I don't want to shell out £700 in one go for the iPhone next time, and my iMac is starting to have the odd issue, it ended up in the shop last year, although that was just the graphics card, but I bought my iMac with my first student loan, and a bit of money that was in my account, it was the first thing I ever bought with my own bank account, and well, that just started a downward spiral of spending, didn't it! But my iMac is a late 2009 model so it's starting to get on a bit now, but it cost just under £3000 with student discount, and extra Black Friday discount on top so its still a very decent machine.

What are your opinions on the Apple Watch - do you want one?
