Prague - Day 3

I think this was probably our earliest start of our trip, well, the earliest we (I) managed to force ourselves out of our toasty hotel room and go out into the freezing cold!

Our first stop was a trip to Candy Store, I'd seen it on a map in the area near our hotel so off we walked, it took around 20 minutes I think, and when we got there I just felt so let down! I was expecting something similar to Dylan's Candy Store in New York, but a bit smaller, but when we got there its just a pretty small room selling a mix of British and American sweets, crisps and cereals, there wasn't even much range - I just wanted a can of Dr Pepper Cherry and I still had no luck here.

As we left the store we wandered up the street and noticed a HUGE comic store called Comic Point, but it wasn't open yet, so we continued up the street, ending up at a Cathedral type building - I think it was the Church of Saint Ludmila, but i'm not sure as i'm just trying to find where it was from Google Maps. The Church/Cathedral had a small Easter market out in front of it, we had a little look around the market and then headed back towards Comic Point.

I think we spent over half an hour just looking around Comic Point, and we didn't even visit their kid's store next door - even though they had an adorable Taz plush in the window! The store had a little bit for everyone, from Flintstones to Naruto and Dr Who to Batman there was a little bit of everything in the shop. There was a really cool Naruto Figure but for £170 we didn't want to risk it breaking in our suitcase.

Next we headed off to find something for lunch before heading towards Old Town Square.

Old Town Square was great, they also had a market just like the one at The Church if Saint Ludmila but it was a lot bigger! They had a petting zoo with sheep, goats and horses and plenty of Trdlo/Trdelník stalls. The trees were all decorated for easter, with little painted eggs hanging from the branches!
