Cars 3 Review

We saw Cars 3 on Tuesday, here is my fiancé's review

Cars 3 Cars three follows Lightning McQueen as he comes up against a new challenge: a new generation of super-fast, highly performant cars who train on simulators and use extreme performance analysis to perfect every part of their drive, smashing speed records and retiring older cars along the way. The leader of this new pack is Jackson Storm. There's nothing too evil about the new cars, just McQueen doesn't want to be told when he is going to retire, he wants to decide for himself so he sets out to get better and beat them at their own game. After trying to follow their training, and coming short due to his old age, he decides he needs to get back to basics and "get his tires dirty" in order to beat them and so goes racing on the beach with his new trainer Cruz Ramirez, before deciding to try going undercover into an indie race which ends up being a demolition derby which Cruz surprisingly wins, blowing McQueen's cover. Embarrassed, he argues with Cruz who tells him she never wanted to be a trainer, she wanted to be a racer but her nerves got the better of her. After this it all gets a little predictable, although very entertaining, with a lot of fun-filled scenes and a finale which brings the series full circle. All in all, Cars 3 is a thoroughly enjoyable movie and a good finale to the franchise.
