Chinese New Year 2017



On Sunday my fiancé and I headed over to Newcastle's China Town for their Chinese New Year celebrations!

We experienced it a little differently this year - we usually head there around two hours before the entertainment is due to start to ensure we have a good spot on the barrier for photography and videography, but this year we headed through late, and I didn't even take my cameras (to be honest, the crowds get a bit.. pushy, and with my DSLR being damaged still it just wasn't even worth the risk to take it with me.

Here is a video of the Lion, Dragon and Unicorn dance before they headed up towards the Chinese Arch. Theres also a walk around the Chinese Market stalls and mini funfair at the end of the video.
