Canon Legria HF R66 Review

I recently bought the Canon Legria HF R66 camcorder as my old video camera's quality just isn't up to standard anymore.

I quickly tested out my new camera at the beach on Wednesday and i'm pretty happy with it!

The camera is nice and light, and is very easy to hold steady as it comes with a hand strap.
Although the strap doesn't seem to be adjustable in the sense that you have to hold the camera with your right hand - left handed camcorders are difficult to find!

The battery seems to last a lot longer than my old video camera's battery so the Canon is a great investment already! The only downside is the battery position as it sticks out on the back of the camera - but I suppose it creates somewhere for you to place your thumb to help you hold the camcorder steady so its not all bad.

The camera has 32x optical zoom and 57x advanced zoom - I tested out the zoom and it was still able to focus almost perfectly on trees etc on full zoom.

The best part of this camcorder is that it comes with touch screen controls! so focusing on subjects is a lot easier compared to my old camera.

I'm excited to try this new camcorder out properly on my upcoming holiday next month!
