Cinema: Daddy's Home Review
Last week my fiancé and I went to see Daddy's Home and here is what we thought of it.

Daddy's home is a hilarious movie starring "Frat Pack" member Will Ferrell (Anchorman / Zoolander / Elf) as Brad and former rapper Mark Wahlberg (Ted / Boogie Nights / Transformers: Age of Extinction) as Dusty.
Interesting fact about "Marky" Mark here, he was an original member of pioneering boy band New Kids on the Block with his brother Donnie Wahlberg, however he quit after three months. Sucks to be him… well maybe not, since he's probably doing better than any of the other members right now.
So. As we start the movie, Brad is stepdad to Dusty's kids and Dusty is an irresponsible, crazy, wild badass guy who is superior to Brad in every way. Upon discovering that somebody else has married his ex wife and is raising his kids, Dusty decides to come back and try to get his family back by sabotaging everything in Brad's life.
This includes planting the idea that an infertile Brad might be able to father children if he visits a superstar fertility doctor he knows. The aim is to get his ex-wife worked up and excited about having a baby, then when her hopes and dreams are crushed by Brad's fertility results failing, he wins her back.
That doesn't sound half as funny as it is.
There's also a couple of hilarious moments at a basketball game, father / daughter dance and at a skateboard ramp Dusty builds in Brad's backyard which you will have to see in order to believe.
This isn't just an out and out comedy though, as it also provides enough of "dem feelz" to make some people nearly cry.
Watch out for a quick cameo out of nowhere by John Cena.
I'm going to finish by saying that this is now Rachel's favourite movie, which is surprising as the only other movie she's seen starting Mark Wahlberg was Ted and I don't think she liked that too much.
