Sunday Evening & The Early Birthday Present

On Sunday evening (last Sunday, the 17th of May) I met my fiancé and gave him his new Apple watch when I finished work and we walked down to the beach to get some food.

You can read more about the Apple Watch here - my fiancé wrote a review of the watch after having it for a few days. He's really enjoying having it, and its even urged him to do more exercise, he even went for a run yesterday! The watch tracks your movements and will let you know how much exercise you've done.

We walked through the cemetery, as we do every Spring, to admire the blossoms, I spent a while taking photos of the trees and the flowers, while my fiancé made himself familiar with all the settings and apps on his Apple Watch.

I really liked the above photograph, it wasn't set up, I just noticed the flower laying there when I was taking some photographs of the fallen petals. I think the depth of field has worked well with this photograph.

After taking a few photographs of the trees, we moved on towards the farmers field's. The bright yellow rapeseed fields are just a huge sign of Spring, Summer and warmer weather they just make you feel happy inside. I'd intended on coming down to the fields to take some photographs for my photography blog so I thought i'd share a few of them here too.

I like how the panorama turned out, the dark clouds give the image just the right amount of contrast to help the yellow rapeseed stand out.

The weather looked grey, dull and gloomy when I finished work, but I'm happy I got to see a little bit of Spring. I'm hoping the weather will finally warm up now (hopefully on the day of the Foo Fighter's gig as its outside! And I have to walk home at midnight without a jacket) and we can go more places. This is one of the main reasons i'd love to live in California, lovely weather all year round (yeah, the odd torrential downpour, but i'm from England, i'm used to those!) and theres just so much to do there (from what I could see on the two weeks I spent there in 2013), and of course, I just want to renew my Disneyland Annual Pass and experience all of the new things to do with the Diamond Celebration! That escalated pretty quickly.. what was I talking about again? the weather?.
