South Lakes Safari Zoo
In the summer my fiancé and I visited South Lakes Safari Zoo, previously known as South Lakes Wild Animal Park, back then they would argue against being called a zoo, i'm not too sure why they've suddenly decided that they are a zoo rather than an animal park.
It was a nice, hot day, and as usual in summer, the zoo was busy.
If you have never been here before, I definitely recommend it, this is my third or fourth visit, I fell in love with the place after first visiting with my college.
There is a lot to see and do here, but don't stand too close to the birds in the aviary, one bit my shoulder when I tried to take a photo with it! I didn't even think I was standing that close.
There was a brief moment where I thought I was going to die of a heart attack when we were leaving as I noticed just before we left the gates that i'd left my camera bag in the restaurant!
My fiancé ran back for me and thankfully the staff had noticed and put it out the back so it was safe when he got there. It had only been about three or four minutes but someone could have taken it and I wouldn't have ever got it back.

My favourite animals are the zoo are the ring tailed lemurs, they are mischievous and like to lay around in the sun. On a previous visit I watched staff try to shoo them out of a dining area near the gift shop, i'm not even sure how they got there because there are gates stopping them getting into that area!
But they're cute little things.
