Berlin - Day One




Day One!


Our flight was in the early afternoon so we had a pretty relaxed morning before getting the Metro at around 10:30, we got to the airport around 11:30 and quickly dropped off our cases and headed through security.


I expected it to be really busy but it turns out our airport really doesn't have many flights. I'd wanted to take a timelapse of a plane taking off, and the next one on the board wasn't for 45min!


We had lunch at Burger King before wandering round the shops while we waited to be able to take my timelapse video. You can see it at www.instagram.com/elstoleno. And I think this is probably the first time we didn't even visit the Namco arcade!


Not long after we boarded our plane and were soon off on our way to Berlin!


I bought these cookies but they weren't very nice, or even intact, just crumbled pieces.


We stayed at the Wyndham Berlin Excelsior hotel, our room was pretty big and we actually got a decent view! We're usually pretty unlucky with the views we get from our hotel rooms.


At was around 6pm when we got to our hotel so we headed up to the train station for some dinner at McDonald's and stopped in Spar on the way back to pick up some drinks and snacks before having an early night for a long day tomorrow!
