Japan - Day 3 - Ikebukuro Part Two

Last night we'd managed to have an early night - we planned them a few times throughout the rest of our trip, but, those ended up being the days we ended up going to bed at 2am! I'm not sure how that happened!

Anyway, we got up early, had breakfast and got ready, only to remember that nothing really opens before 10am! So we sat around for a little while before heading out into Ikebukuro for a bit of shopping.

Our first stop was Animate! The flagship store is located a 5 min walk from our hotel on the way to Sunshine City. We didn't really buy a lot in Animate this year, and we only went in the once - last year we went in practically every day of the trip! I'll show you what we bought later on in this post.

Next we headed over to Sunshine City, stopping for some lunch before heading over to the Pokémon Center, The Disney Store, AniCute, Village Vanguard and any other cool little shop we passed on the way!

There was an amazing little sweet and toy shop somewhat hidden in the shopping centre, I picked up so many DIY Candy kits that I don't even know how i'll have time to put them all together!

The Pokémon Center has expanded since last year and now has a few sections outside of the store too, they use them for arcade games and penny press machines - when we revisited during the weekend later in the trip there were huge queues for the arcade games so visit on a week day if you want to try them out!

We then headed back to our hotel for a rest as we were both feeling pretty exhausted and off still from the travelling, we got back around 2:10pm and that was so badly planned as our hotel lift was closing for maintenance from 2pm-4pm! We had to walk up the fire escape to get to our room - which, of course, was on the top floor. I did manage to take this lovely panoramic photo up there though!

After resting until the lift came back on (i'd rather not walk on that fire escape ever again, thank you! especially not when its windy!) we headed back out to Sunshine City for some dinner, but this time we ended up taking a different route (or my fiancé got us lost..) and we ended up walking through a park full of cats!

There was around 13 of them, they all had collars on so must have lived near by, they were all just flopped out in the heat. That little cutey with the white fur has different coloured eyes! one green and one blue!

After quickly getting some dinner we headed back to the hotel to pack for our move to Disney's Ambassador Hotel the next day, thankfully it didn't take too long to pack and we did manage to get a, somewhat, early night ready for our 5am wake up call.

Here is what we bought today -

DIY candy kits, blind box mini figures, Disney pens, blind pack badges and stickers, keyrings, a pikachu pumpkin and this month's Pikachu pair!
