Here is our Saturday video! I only lasted until 2pm in that costume, the wig just kept falling off, it was way too heavy on it's own, never mind with the hamu hood pulling it down.

I did intend on posting this on Friday night but I completely forgot to add in the video and publish it! So here it finally is, our Friday video, i'll post the Saturday video tomorrow and the Sunday video on Wednesday but if you can't wait that long they're already uploaded on my YouTube channel. Last month my fiancé and I took a day trip over to Lindal-in-Furness to visit the South Lakes Safari Zoo. We've visited the Zoo several times before, my first trip was way back in college - around 9 years ago, back when it was called South Lakes Wild Animal Park and they refused to use the word zoo! The place has changed a lot over the years, and not necessarily for the better. They've had a lot of bad press recently but I hope they'll work out their problems and improve on all of their issues. NGL, I really only go because they have quite a few ring-tailed lemurs and they're the cutest things, there were even several babies out during our trip. They have a cute little red panda too, but it slept the whole day!

Today, I grew to the old old age of 27. Here is this year's birthday cake, my Mam hates doing these so it makes it so much more special. This is really just a photo dump post, we spent the morning scrolling right back to my first Instagram post (and i've posted 4,280 photos/videos!) so we could look back at all of the cakes she's put together over the years so I thought it'd be better to show them off on here too.

To be honest, I was considering not publishing an update for May as very little has progressed since the April update . Since May 2nd all we've done is get a new plastering quote for the rest of the house - landing, stairs, front room, living room, dining room and the extension. We've decided not to get the bathroom and kitchen ripped out and replastered until we're ready to have the whole room replaced. We've booked in for July to have the work finished. But, before we can get that done we need more electrical work done - two light fittings changed, two security lights installed, some light switch linking (ability to turn off the downstairs light from upstairs, and linking the living room and dining room switches), replacing a few socket plates, and moving the light switch in the office to the opposite wall (the door has clearly been installed on the wrong side, it opens straight into the wall rather than the open room!).
