April Home Update

Earlier in the month we ripped out some old fitted wardrobes, which at this point were basically doorless shelving units and moved stuff into the office and loft.

We gave the garden it's first cut of the season - and it already needs another one!

We moved the office furniture into the back of the dining room so we had more storage room in the office to clear out the bedroom and back room ready for them to be plastered.

April 29th

We emptied and dismantled two fitted wardrobes and cleared most of the backroom into the office ready for the electrician and plasterers coming.

April 30th

Our electrician came and installed our two bedside USB sockets.
He wired in our random socket that was just on the wall and not connected to anything.
He changed our bedroom light fittings - turns out the light that's been above me wasn't wired in properly and could have set on fire and killed me this whole time!
He also replaced/rewired some sockets in the backroom - no more wires hanging out of the walls!

May 1st

Our electrician came back and fitted a new socket at the bottom of the stairs, replaced our twin socket by the settee with a USB twin, and installed another socket by the back door.

Our plasterers came and got the majority of the bedroom done, they didn't have time to do the front panels under our bay window but other than that the walls and ceiling were perfect.

May 2nd

Our electrician came back to install our new passage, dining room and living room light fittings and finished up some wiring by the back doors.
He also replaced a couple of floorboards for us.

Our plasterers came back and finished the bedroom, and plastered the entire backroom, aka my studio, previously the storage room.
