Guide To Booking Disneyland Paris DIY!

I've been to Disneyland Paris nine times now and with my tenth visit all booked up for June I thought I would share with you all my guide to booking a trip to Disneyland Resort Paris!

Let's start with flights! Obviously, these depend on where you live as now if you fly from Newcastle you can only fly with Air France if you want to fly direct as Easy Jet cancelled the route a few years ago. Flights are something you're going to have to search around for to get the best price and flight time you can, Air France obviously has the best range of flight times, but can be a little more expensive than say, Easy Jet but it all depends on how far in advance you book - the first time we booked Air France it was because the times were a lot better than with Easy Jet and they were cheaper! Just because its a budget airline, it doesn't automatically make it the cheapest! You can use websites like Sky Scanner to find out who flies from your airport to Paris, but from then I recommend looking direct on the airline's website to view the times and prices.

Now, where to start with Disneyland Hotels, there are quite a few onsite hotels with the Santa Fe and the hotel Cheyenne being at the bottom and the Disneyland Hotel and Hotel New York being at the top. The lower hotels are really all you need as you'll probably be spending all of your time in the parks anyway, but if you do want to upgrade, the higher hotels include more breakfast options and have swimming pools, although these close during the low season. Disney also have good neighbour/partner hotels listed and available for booking on their website if you're looking for something a little further away from the parks and Disney Village.

While you're considering booking you should keep and eye on the offers page as these change every couple of months and they often have 50% off flash sales which are great for quick, and somewhat short notice trips as the flash sales are usually for a set range of dates. Once you find an offer you think is the best value for you, you can either call up and pay a deposit for your hotel and tickets or you can book online although this requires you to pay in full at the time of booking.

If you're looking to avoid the Summer school holidays you'll get a great price for your hotel for the colder seasons, including Christmas which starts in November at Disneyland Paris, although it means the parks close earlier, the queues are generally a lot shorter - in November I think the longest queue we stood in was around 20minutes for Ratatouille, and I think the same can be said for our trip in February 2015 too. Although, my favourite season at Disneyland Paris is the Summer as its hot, the parks are open later and as its peak season there is generally more going on with more roaming characters out around the parks and there are generally no, or very few ride closures during the Summer peak season.

Remember, if you book your flights, Disney hotel or even a package online you should always join and click through Top Cashback before purchasing! At the time of writing this the cashback rate on Disneyland Hotels/Packages booked direct is 3.53% and Air France are giving 3.03%. If you choose to book your hotel through Expedia they are also on Top Cashback too, but at the time of writing they have a special offer rate on at 11.11% which will have ended by the time this post goes live, but keep an eye on the offers as Disneyland have been known to release special limited time rates too!
