Japan Funbox Mini Box Review*

Image
As you may have seen in my previous posts, i'm a pretty big fan of blind boxes and subscription boxes - you never know what you're going to get and I just love being surprised when I open the boxes! I was recently offered a  Japanese Candy Box - Japan Funbox  mini subscription box to try out and, of course, I jumped at the chance! Japan Funbox offers free worldwide shipping and ships directly from Japan so you get authentic Japanese snacks and candy and the most recently released cool treats and even limited edition releases - in Japan they have to fight over shelf space in stores so theres always crazy and cool new flavours coming out for limited periods of time - like the Pepsi Sakura from earlier this year. I loved the design on the box, its so simple but cute at the same time, my postman seemed pretty interested in it too! Now, on to the good bit - opening the box! This was the mini subscription box - which comes in at only $14.99 per month -...

London Trip 2016 - Day Three

Image
It was our last day and it was going to be a long one, so we had a relaxing later start this morning, staying in the hotel until check out time - plus we needed to call my brother and find out his GCSE results. We were pretty surprised he managed to get up and out before 11! We packed our bags and checked out heading straight over to Knightsbridge. Harrods Our first stop for the day was Harrods, we wandered around most of the floors, picking up a few gifts from the food departments, and then spent a good chunk of time looking around their Christmas floor! This is Hugh, the Christmas bear for 2016. I absolutely love him and although I didn't get one during my trip, i'm probably going to try and order one online. The giant one is only £1200! Considering we saw a children's play house in the kid's department for £20,000, the price is pretty low for this gigantic bear! Leicester Square We stopped by Leicester Square for some lunch, and sat by the fou...

London Trip 2016 - Day Two

Up early and down for breakfast just after 8am! They've rearranged the restaurant and its not as practical as it used to be, but it looks nicer. We headed out around 9:30 as the places we were going weren't due to open until 10am. Covent Garden We headed straight over to Covent Garden, stopping in the Moomin Shop and Disney Store pretty much as soon as we arrived. I got a nice little Moomin bauble for our Christmas tree! (Are you seeing a pattern here?!) Then we wandered into the market for a while, where I noticed these Pokémon GO Tshirts. I was going to pick up a Valor shirt or two, but I figured my fiancé and I probably wouldn't wear them. We then walked over to CyberCandy but it was closed for refurbishment! So we headed over to Hardy's, I love looking around in here. I picked up a Dr Pepper Cherry and then we wandered around China Town for a while before getting lunch and heading over to Camden. Camden First off, as soon as w...

London Trip 2016 - Day One

Travel We were up at 4:30am to get sorted before our 6:45am train from Sunderland to London. We'd booked to travel first class this time round, we boarded, sat in our assigned seats, and our tickets were checked and all fine - only after posting a photograph to Instagram questioning why first class on the Grand Central trains didn't have a plug socket, I was tweeted by Grand Central and informed I was in the wrong coach! As they'd had to switch trains this morning and F was now first class rather than E! It was obviously very.. nice.. of the ticket inspectors and other crew members to inform their customers of the change.. oh wait, they didn't! By this point we had little over an hour left of our 4 hour journey so we stayed where we were rather than drag our luggage through and disrupt other passengers. Leicester Square After dropping off our luggage we headed over to Leicester Square for some lunch and our first trips to M&Ms World and the Nickelodeo...

Baking Day - Despicable Me Cupcakes

Image
It's been a while since i've baked anything cute, and since my fiancé surprised me with a load of cake mixes a while ago, I thought i'd best get baking before they all go out of date! This time I chose the Despicable Me Minion Cupcakes. The mix makes 6 cupcakes and retails for around £1.99. All you need to add is water, and 1 egg so this is an ideal, quick, cute cupcake mix for a family fun, rainy day activity. The instructions are quick and easy to follow. 1. Add the mix, 1 egg and 4 table spoons of water into a bowl. 2. Mix for 1min. 3. Pour into cases. 4. Bake at 190ºC for 15-20min 5. Add 3 teaspoons of water & the icing powder into a bowl and mix. 6. Decorate! A quick and easy cupcake mix for when you just want a treat, and fast! The only problem I had with this mix is that the yellow icing dyed our bowl yellow, so don't use a nice new bowl for the icing! Follow this blog on BlogLovin' Like u...
